SFO Senior and Management Staff Speak at AMAC Western Region Networking Event

SFO Senior and Management staff were on hand for The Airport Minority Advisory Committee’s (AMAC) first Western Region Networking Event on Friday evening, March 3, 2017 at the Z Café in downtown Oakland.   Airport COO Jeff Littlefield provided welcoming remarks and Small Business Affairs Officer Dana Lang spoke about the role of outreach and upcoming opportunities at SFO.  The meeting also featured a visit from AMAC’s National President, Krystal Brumfield and Ebon Glenn (Green Beans Coffee), who serves as AMAC’s Western Regional Director.  Kristi McKenney, Assistant Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland, also provided remarks.

AMAC is the only national, non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the full participation of minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises in airport contracting and the inclusion of minorities and women in employment.  AMAC has two primary goals:  1) to eliminate the barriers to minority and women participation in the airport industry, and 2) to capitalize on the opportunities available in this industry.
