Reduction in AirTrain Services from September 2017 through May 2019

groovy air train

In order for the Airport to install some major system upgrades to our AirTrain and also build a new Hotel station, we will be required to reduce AirTrain services between the hours of 10:00pm and 5:00am - Monday through Friday.  The reduced schedule began on September 11, 2017 and should end on May 31, 2019.

The AirTrain will continue to provide service to all stations during this period, but may be operating in one of several alternate modes, where trains may only stop on the Blue or Red Line side and can travel in a direction that’s different from our normal operations.  Please refer to the overhead signs located at our stations and listen carefully to the audio announcements for more specific directional information during this time period.  In some cases it may be quicker to walk to your destination rather than taking the AirTrain.

The Airport apologizes for this inconvenience and believes the AirTrain will be a more reliable system once these upgrades have been completed.

Please contact the Airport’s AirTrain Manager at 650.821.7661 if you have any questions.
