In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in May, please join the Motivating Volunteer Participation (MVP) Committee and AAPI@SFO Employee Resource Group for in-service volunteer at the Bayanihan Equity Center (BEC).
Volunteers will help set up and build grocery bags containing fresh produce, grains, and protein, for the Immigrant Food Assistance (IFA) program. At this time, BEC is limiting the number of volunteers for each service date to 3 volunteers. Volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and must wear a mask during each shift. If you would like to volunteer, please email the MVP Committee at sfomvp@flysfo.com by Friday, April 28th and indicate if you are interested in carpooling or will be taking BART. Employees wishing to participate during their regular work hours must use their own leave time (e.g., vacation, floating holiday, furlough, comp time, administrative leave, etc.) in order to participate. Prior supervisor approval is also required. * The Bayanihan Equity Center provides culturally responsive services to address the needs and advance the rights of marginalized communities in pursuit of equity and justice.
