Landside Operations' Ground Transportation Compliance section’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the various modes of commercial ground transportation* operating at the Airport comply with the rules and regulations of SFO, SF Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) & CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Policies & Procedures.
SFMTA’s Taxi Investigators assigned to the Airport will observe and provide physical enforcement presence in and around terminals, roadways, Airport facilities & parking lots. The Investigator Team has diverse backgrounds including Aviation Security, SFPD, US Customs & Border Protection, SF Parking Enforcement and CA Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation. This collective knowledge increases the section’s ability to improve public service and promote public safety.
