Airport recommends arriving at least 2 hours prior to departure SFO reminded passengers to allow extra time for the busy summer travel season. SFO recommends that travelers arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure for domestic flights, and at least 3 hours prior to departure for an international flight.

San Mateo 101 Express Lanes Closure Project

Caltrans is planning a full closure of Northbound Highway 101 from Millbrae Avenue to San Bruno Avenue on Sunday, June 12, from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. This section of Highway 101 needs to be closed to allow construction crews to safely install overhead signs above the freeway lanes. The work is part of the San Mateo 101 Express Lanes Project which will reduce traffic congestion, encourage transit use and carpooling on Highway 101 in San Mateo County.
