New exhibition at SFO’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 celebrates one-hundred years of San Francisco Opera history San Francisco Opera has presented renowned operatic performances for one-hundred seasons, drawing international superstars, commissioning exciting new productions, and debuting legendary singers. San Franciscans have enjoyed opera since the days of the Gold Rush, when in 1851, the Pellegrini Opera Company, a traveling Italian troupe, performed the first opera in the city.

Wall Street Journal Ranks SFO as the Top U.S. Airport in 2022

Annual survey rates on-time flights, security line waits, customer surveys The Wall Street Journal on November 18th, 2022, named SFO as the top large U.S. airport in their annual ranking, comprised of multiple measurements, including on-time performance, security checkpoint line waits and customer satisfaction scores from J.D. Power.

COVID-19 "Updated" Vaccination Boosters & Flu Vaccinations - December 7

SFO will be hosting an “updated" COVID-19 booster and flu vaccination clinic on Wednesday, December 7. For the COVID-19 booster, this is not a first dose clinic, and in order to receive the “updated booster” it must be at least 2 months since your last dose. COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kits (Flowflex) will also be available at the event.

Boarding Area C Checkpoint and C Core Closure

As part of the Terminal 1 Center construction work to increase the airport capacity, the project will construct a new security connector linking Boarding Area B with Boarding Area C. To facilitate the demolition and construction in Boarding Area C, the Project Team requires the permanent closure of the Boarding Area C Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) starting Monday, November 7, 2022. As part of this work the project will install temporary walls and update wayfinding signage on departures, arrivals, and basement levels of the C Core area.
