Due to some additional software upgrades and associated testing the AirTran will be taken out-of-service beginning May 27, Wednesday evening at 11pm through May 28, Thursday morning at 5am. Busses will provide shuttle service between all Terminals, Hyatt and Rental Car Center during this period.

Airport establishes public safety enhancement for situations where it is not possible to call 911 San Francisco International Airport (SFO) today announced Text-to-911 service for anyone at the Airport to send a text message to reach SFO 911 dispatchers from a mobile phone or smart device when it is not possible to call 911. The new emergency service feature will go live on Monday, June 1, 2020.

As of July 21, 2020 (10 AM), SFO is aware of 76 employees at SFO testing positive for COVID-19. SFO has outlined a recommended process for all employers in the event of a confirmed case, including protocols to notify employees who may have had close contact with the person who tested positive, compliance with applicable health guidelines and worker safety regulations, and disinfection of the area where the person who tested positive works.
