To facilitate physical distancing, the Airport has recently allocated a new common use breakroom, to add to those already available for the use of any SFO employee. Please note that the seating capacity in some of the spaces we announced previously has recently been reassessed, and that the capacity in other rooms will also be increased soon in accordance with current guidelines. The following new spaces are now available for the use of any SFO employee:

The Airport Wellness Committee would like to encourage Physical Well-Being with the Bay Trail walk, which is a great way to connect with colleagues and add in steps! The Bay Trail by Millbrae Avenue will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Thanks to Landside Operations, we have two SFO shuttle buses available to transport employees to the Bay Trail. Airport’s team of certified therapy animals is back after 20-month absence On October 18, SFO announced the return of the Wag Brigade, a team of certified stress-relief animals, after a 20-month absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Teams will be returning to SFO terminals this week on a limited schedule. All animal and volunteer teams comply with the Airport’s enhanced health and safety protocols, which include mandatory mask wearing and vaccination for all onsite workers.

SFO Weekly COVID-19 Update As of the week of January 3, 2022, SFO is aware of 636 employees at SFO testing positive for COVID-19. SFO has outlined a recommended process for all employers in the event of a confirmed case, including protocols to notify employees who may have had close contact with the person who tested positive, compliance with applicable health guidelines and worker safety regulations, and disinfection of the area where the person who tested positive works.
