As passenger and traffic volume returns to pre-pandemic levels, the Airport would like to remind everyone about the importance of roadway and pedestrian safety. Walking or running across Airport roadways outside of a marked crosswalk is prohibited.
Please refer to the below map that shows a route between Boarding Areas B, C, and D, and features ample wayfinding signage. For pedestrians that traverse between Terminal 1 and the Domestic Garage, the Pedestrian Bridge is another option that provides access between Terminal 1 Mezzanine Level and Domestic Garage Level 5. For pedestrians that traverse between International Terminal A and Garage A, please use the Pedestrian Bridge on Level 2, not the roadway on Level 1.
Pedestrians are responsible for using a crosswalk to cross the road (not jaywalk) and must follow all traffic laws. This Airport Notice serves as a warning to all Airport tenant and Airport Commission employees that jaywalking is a safety issue and a violation of the Airport’s Rules and Regulations. Those in violation may be subject to an Administrative Citation under the Rules and Regulations issued by the San Francisco Police Department – Airport Bureau (SFPD-AB), as well as Airport badge revocation.
The Airport is committed to pedestrian and traffic safety on Airport roadways. Please keep in mind that unsafe behavior on the roadway by either motorists or pedestrians is a serious matter. If you have any questions, please contact Annie Chung at Annie.Chung@flysfo.com or call (650) 821-6515.
