The Airport is undertaking an effort to explicitly advance racial equity in all aspects of our activities, programs, and services. To make meaningful change, we are starting this process by looking inward, critically reviewing our policies and practices through an equity lens to determine whether our current systems have unintended impacts that contribute to racial disparities in our workplace. While we are assessing conditions in key areas for all employees, we are paying special attention to impact on our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) team members.
As we develop the Airport’s first Racial Equity Action Plan, we are prioritizing employee engagement, ensuring team members with diverse backgrounds from all levels of the organization have the opportunity to help build this Plan. The focus groups conducted this past September provided critical feedback and recommendations to advance racial equity, and we want to continue to hear your voices during this development process. Specifically, we need your assistance as we prioritize initiatives within the Plan in the following areas: Hiring and Recruitment; Retention and Promotion; Discipline and Separation; Diverse and Equitable Leadership and Management; Mobility and Professional Development; and Organizational Culture of Inclusion and Belonging.
At this time, please complete the SFO Racial Equity Action Plan and Engagement Survey. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and your response is anonymous. The survey is also available in Chinese and Spanish.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Your survey response must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020.
