SFO Needs Your Help to Support Afghan Refugees

The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan this August has forced tens of thousands of Afghans to flee their country in what has become one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Over the past 40 years, nearly six million Afghans have been driven out of their homes and country by conflict, violence, and poverty.

That’s why SFO’s MVP Committee is trying to help by holding a Donations Drive for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) from November 15 to December 17, 2021. The (IRC) has been assisting Afghans in their resettlement journeys by delivering critical information, health services, and resources so that Afghans can rebuild their lives.

We are looking for newly purchased essential items which can be placed in the MVP barrels in employee breakrooms. You may also make arrangements to drop off your items curbside at the SFO Business Center, 575 McDonnell Road.
