Please join the Motivating Volunteer Participation (MVP) Committee to pack and sort food at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
During the project shift, volunteers will help get food ready to be distributed to soup kitchens, food pantries, after-school programs, and the other 400+ places that feed people in need for free
throughout the City. Projects typically involve sorting donations from food drives and grocery stores, repackaging bulk items into more useful portions, cleaning and boxing fresh produce, or stocking grocery shelves.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank works to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin. The agency provides donated and purchased food to more than 400 non-profit agencies, enabling them to give nutritious meals or supplemental groceries to thousands of low-income families and individuals in our community.
If you would like to volunteer, please email the MVP Committee at sfomvp@flysfo.com by Wednesday, August 2nd and indicate if you are interested in carpool. For questions, please contact Stephanie Francisco at (650) 821-5256 or stephanie.francisco@flysfo.com.
Employees wishing to participate during their regular work hours must use their own leave time (e.g., vacation, floating holiday, furlough, comp time, administrative leave, etc.) in order to participate. Please know that prior supervisor approval is also required.
*Founded in 1987, SF-Marin Food Bank has pioneered many successful models aimed at ending hunger in San Francisco and Marin envisioning a community where everyone is able to obtain nutritious food in a dignified manner to support the health and well-being of themselves and their families.
