All badged Airport employees -
This reminder is being posted due to the continued occurrence of security access point violations despite numerous previous notifications. Please ensure that you and your employees are briefed and understand their responsibilities!
The Airport’s Access Control System is designed to prevent unauthorized access into Restricted Areas. The Airport has several layers of security, specifically at our Direct Access Points, to assist in preventing unauthorized access. We are continuing to see badge holders circumventing security measures if their badge is not working at a Direct Access Point card reader – particularly at Turnstiles. It is critical that you ensure your employees are briefed that if their badge does not work at a card reader - for any reason - they must either try a different access point or contact the Airport’s Security Operations Center (SOC) for assistance. REACHING YOUR AIRPORT ID BADGE THROUGH OR HANDING YOUR AIRPORT ID BADGE THROUGH A TURNSTILE TO ANOTHER PERSON FOR ANY REASON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT REVOCATION OF THE AIRPORT ID BADGE(S) OF ALL INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED. CALL THE SECURITY OPERATIONS CENTER (SOC) AT 650-821-3915 24 HOURS-A-DAY FOR ASSISTANCE IF AN AIRPORT ID BADGE DOES NOT PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE TURNSTILE.
For any questions or concerns, please contact the Security Access Office, 650.821.5200.
