North McDonnell Road Night Closures
SFO's AirTrain is being extended and a new sign structure is being erected over the roadway. As a result, North McDonnell Road will be closed between San Bruno Avenue and the Rental Car Center intersection on:
- July 27 – July 29 on Monday through Wednesday nights from 10:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
North McDonnell Road closures will affect Rental Car Center returning vehicle traffic and West Cargo Area traffic if entering from San Bruno Avenue. Drivers of autos and light trucks must use the SFO Terminals/US101 or Millbrae Ave/US101 interchanges to access these areas, and drivers of large vehicles, tractor-trailers, and Rental Car Center fueling trucks must use the Millbrae Ave/US101 interchange to access these areas.
San Bruno Avenue or I-380 must be used to access the Long-Term Parking Lot and Cell Phone Lot.
Detour signage will be in place.
San Mateo 101 Express Lanes Project
Caltrans is constructing express lanes on U.S. 101 from Redwood City to I-380 in South San Francisco. During the project, freeway lane and ramp closures will occur on northbound and southbound U.S. 101. At times, lanes and exits at or near SFO will be impacted. Most work is scheduled to take place between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Closures will be marked by roadway signage, with detour signs posted.
