BART has announced updated schedule and service enhancements effective August 2, 2021. The existing and future service hours are listed below along with detailed updates from BART regarding their operation.
- The last train of the evening will terminate service at SFO in the revenue timetable, however as is the case today, that train continues on to Millbrae where any remaining passengers are swept off the train by BART personnel.
- An additional highlight of August 2nd service is the elimination of the Purple line Millbrae/SFO shuttle service. The new service pattern is as follows: For 5-line service configuration Monday through Saturday until evening, the Red and Yellow lines will both terminate at SFO, offering a one-seat ride to and from SFO for more passengers. For 3-line configuration evenings and Sunday, the Yellow line will stop first at SFO before continuing to Millbrae, which is the same as current 3-line service.

- Weekdays (5:00 am - 9:00 pm)
- Saturday (8:00 am - 9:00 pm)
- Sunday (8:00 am - 9:00 pm)
Future service hours (effective August 2, 2021):
- Weekdays (5:00 am- Midnight)
- Saturday (6:00 am - Midnight)
- Sunday (8:00 am - (9:00 pm)
