Federal requirement inside all air, rail and bus terminals extended until April 18th
SFO reminded passengers that face masks are still required inside airport facilities. A federal mandate from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requiring all air, rail and bus travelers over the age of 2 to wear a mask at all times in these locations has been extended until April 18, 2022.
Face masks are still required for all individuals, including workers and members of the public, when entering or when located in the indoor areas of SFO. There are no exceptions based on vaccination status. The existing civil penalty fine structure will also remain in place which starts at $250 and rises to $1,500 for repeat offenders who violate this face mask requirement.
