SFO’s Spring Clean Sweep – May 12th - 23rd

It’s that time of year again. We are asking for your assistance with the 2025 Spring SFO Clean Sweep. Operations and Facilities staff in conjunction with the Environmental Operations department will coordinate this year’s event. Clean Sweep 2025 will be held from Monday, May 12th to Friday, May 23rd.  

This Spring Clean Sweep is an opportunity for tenants to focus on their lease spaces, disposing of debris and any non-operational or non-functioning items and equipment. Dumpsters will be located throughout the Airport campus on both the landside and airside. Please review the 2025 Clean Sweep event flyer for the specific dumpster locations.

It is important that Aviation Management, Revenue Development, and Facilities staff remain actively involved to ensure debris, non-operational or non-functioning items and equipment are identified and disposed of in the proper dumpsters.

During Clean Sweep all tenants are asked to do the following:

  • Conduct general housekeeping, with a special focus on removing items that may create a hazard, be FOD (Foreign Object Debris), or are no longer used in operation.
  • Work with Airport Duty Managers and Property Managers to identify areas that need additional cleaning or repair.
  • Discard non-operational and broken furniture, signage, or electronic equipment
    (e-waste). Dumping and littering of hazardous material is prohibited.

Dumpsters will be located at the following locations:

Landside:

  • Courtyard 1: Landfill, e-waste, metal, wood
  • Courtyard 2: Landfill
  • Courtyard 4: Landfill, e-waste, metal, wood

Airside:

  • Gate A1: Landfill
  • Gate D2: Landfill, e-waste

This year, Airport Duty Manager Anthony Nguyen, ADM Office, and Briana Zhen with Environmental Operations will serve as POCs for this event. Please direct any questions or concerns you may have to either Anthony or the ADM Office at 650-821-5222.
