Mayor London N. Breed and SFO announced a requirement that all airport workers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The mandate, the first for a U.S. airport, goes into effect immediately and requires all on-site personnel to be vaccinated or, if exempt, be tested weekly for COVID-19.

New stations constructed for Grand Hyatt at SFO and Long-Term Parking SFO announced that its two newest AirTrain stations, constructed at the Grand Hyatt at SFO and Long-Term Parking, have earned “Gold” certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Due to some additional software testing, the AirTran will be taken out-of-service on Wednesday night, September 22 at 10:00pm and returned to normal service on Thursday morning, September 23 at 5:00am. Busses will provide shuttle service between all Terminals, SFO Hyatt, Rental Car Center and the Long-Term Parking during this closure. BART is offering a special promotion of 50% off all fares on Clipper for the entire month of September 2021. Although the discount applies to all fares on Clipper and can be combined with other Clipper discounts offers, unfortunately, the Clipper discounts cannot be combined with the SFO Employee BART Discount Card. Thus, employees are advised to select the best discount option that is most suitable for their trip on BART.
