BART Next Generation Fare Gates to be constructed at SFO Starting Friday, October 11

Starting Friday, October 11, BART’s Next Generation Fare Gate Project will begin replacing fare gates at the SFO BART Station. SFO is one of the first stations to receive the gates BART replaces the more than 700 fare gates system-wide through 2025.The station will remain open and functional during the fare gate installation project.  BART will replace a total of four (4) fare gate arrays at SFO. Two will be on the concourse level, and two will be on the Air Train level. 

SFO Welcomes United Airlines Nonstop Service to San José, Costa Rica

Airport’s largest airline to launch first nonstop flights to capital city in May 2025SFO celebrated an announcement today from United Airlines detailing plans to launch nonstop service from SFO to San José, Costa Rica starting May 22, 2025. The Airport’s largest airline plans to offer daily year-round service, operated using Boeing 737 aircraft.

SFO Celebrates New Frontier Airlines Service to Palm Springs and Vail

Airline plans to add new nonstops in December 2024SFO celebrated an announcement today from Frontier Airlines detailing plans to launch new nonstop flights from SFO to Palm Springs and Vail, Colorado in December 2024. Effective December 12th, Frontier will launch three flights per week to Palm Springs, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. On December 21st, Frontier will launch one flight per week, on Saturdays, to Vail, Colorado. All flights will operate using Airbus A320 aircraft.
