As passenger and traffic volume returns to pre-pandemic levels, the Airport wants to remind everyone about the importance of roadway and pedestrian safety. Walking or running across Airport roadways outside of a marked crosswalk is prohibited.
Please refer to the below map showing the designated route between Boarding Areas B, C, and D. This route features ample wayfinding signage. For pedestrians that traverse between International Terminal A and Garage A, please use the pedestrian bridge on Level 2, not the roadway on Level 1.
Pedestrians are responsible for using crosswalks, not jaywalking to cross the road and must follow all traffic laws. This Airport Notice serves as a warning to all Airport tenants and Airport Commission employees that jaywalking is a safety issue and a violation of the Airport’s Rules and Regulations. Those in violation may be subject to an Administrative Citation under the Rules and Regulations issued by the San Francisco Police Department – Airport Bureau (SFPD-AB) and Airport badge revocation.
The Airport is committed to pedestrian and traffic safety on Airport roadways. Please remember that motorists’ or pedestrians’ unsafe behavior on the roadway is a serious matter. If you have any questions, please contact Annie Chung at 650.821.6515.
