Three-year contract provides increased wages, health insurance, and benefits
SFO announced a tentative agreement between Airport food service workers and restaurant operators. Unite Here! Local 2, which represents food service workers at SFO, and the San Francisco Airport Restaurant Multi-Employer Group, an organization of Airport restaurant operators, reached the tentative three-year agreement for a collective bargaining agreement which provides for increased wages, health insurance, and benefits.
The tentative agreement ends a labor action which impacted food, beverage, and lounge operations at SFO. Airport restaurants and lounges are expected to resume normal operations within 24 hours.
“I am thrilled that both parties have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “This new contract provides competitive pay and benefits, allowing our food workers to continue delivering the world-class airport experience that travelers love. I appreciate the commitment from both the union and restaurant operators that made this outcome possible.”
