Boarding Area A Closure Update - June 12, 2020

As a result of the continued reduced flight and passenger activity related to the COVID-19 crisis, Boarding Area A has been closed since April 1, 2020. The original closure was planned through June 1, 2020 and subsequently extended to June 28, 2020. Based on a careful review of current scheduled operations for July 2020, even with the continued return of passenger flights and ad-hoc cargo operations, we are still able to accommodate all International Operations on Boarding Area G (Gates G1 – G14).

COVID-19 – Self-Screening and Self-Certification

City and County of San Francisco (CCSF) employees who work on‑site must be free from symptoms of COVID-19 infection to prevent further spread of the virus.  Therefore, effective Monday, June 15, 2020, all Airport Commission employees will be required to certify they are free of COVID-19 symptoms before reporting to the workplace each day.  This will be accomplished through a “self-screening and self-certification” process that requires consideration of three questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms and exposure and providing a “yes” or “no” answer.
