On-airport hotel honored by San Francisco Business Times San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has been recognized for the on-airport hotel, the Grand Hyatt at SFO, which opened in October 2019 and remains open for essential travel. Today the San Francisco Business Times named the Grand Hyatt at SFO among its “Real Estate Deals of the Year”, which honors significant deals and projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area completed in 2019.

Beginning Monday, May 18 at 5:00 a.m., the AirTrain will be switching to an alternate mode. Blue Line trains coming from the Rental Car Center will switch to the Red Line at Garage G and travel around the Airport until reaching the Hotel Station, then head back to the Rental Car Center. Please refer to the AirTrain station displays and audio messages for directional information. In some cases, it may be quicker to walk to your destination rather than taking the AirTrain.

Beginning June 1, 2020, BART will only sell plastic reloadable Clipper Cards at the SFO station. All the current ticket vending machines at the station will be converted to sell only Clipper Cards. Clipper Cards offer cheaper per-ride fares and can be used on most regional transit providers including most ferries, cable cars, Muni, Caltrain and local bus systems such as SamTrans.

San Francisco's Golden Gate Park's is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a virtual concert series in May. Featuring classic performances from the park, the event will feature two specially-produced music and comedy concerts on May 16 and May 30, respectively.
