Airport recognized for advancing sustainable aviation fuel, new AirTrain Extension project SFO received multiple awards from Airports Going Green® (AGG), the aviation industry’s leading forum on sustainability led by the Chicago Department of Aviation and co-hosted by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). At the 14th annual forum, SFO won awards for the following categories:

Airport honored for program to eliminate plastic beverage bottle waste Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA), the foremost advocate for airport operators in North America, has honored SFO with its Environmental Management Award for 2021. SFO was recognized for its “Zero Waste Concessions Program,” which sought to curb plastic pollution and emissions by prohibiting the sale of any beverages in plastic packaging.

As we anticipate increased passenger volumes over the holiday season and beyond, we find it necessary to make some changes to the current discounted daily parking program for employees.
