SFO Ambassadors Enhance Safety & Security at the Airport

In October of 2022, the Airport launched the SFO Ambassadors, a new program to enhance safety and security for staff, tenants, and employees. A group of retired San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers who work at SFO during the main travel hours, the Ambassadors walk the pre-security areas of the terminals, interacting with tenants, passengers, and persons experiencing homelessness.
Oakland Ransomware Attack

The city of Oakland was recently the victim of a ransomware attack that affected multiple city departments and led the city to declare a local state of emergency due to the ongoing impact of network outages resulting from the attack. The attack did not affect local emergency services such as 911. A ransomware attack occurs when someone encrypts files and demands ransom to decrypt them. The encryption makes the files and the systems that rely on them unusable, according to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
City and County of San Francisco is Transitioning Banking Services

The City and County of San Francisco is transitioning banking services to J.P. Morgan from Bank of America. The transition starts on February 27, 2023 and will only affect ACH or wire payments. The new JPM bank account and routing number information can be found here. If you make ACH or Wire payments to San Francisco Airport Commission, please use these ACH Payment Instructions to update your records and send ACH/Wire payments to the new JPM bank account starting February 27 2023.
Free Tax Preparation Services For Airport Employees

The SFO Business and Career Center is offering FREE tax preparation through United Way Bay Area. Last year the Business and Career Center helped employees all across the Airport receive $52,000 total in returns. This free service is available to all airport staff regardless of employer. Please note there is an income limit of $73,000 or less per household. You can file your taxes online at http://getyourrefund.org/sfo or contact us to make an appointment.
