Pan Am Group to Donate Its Entire Film Archive to SFO Museum for Preservation

‘Treasure trove of aviation history’ contains over 700 titles spanning six decades The Pan Am Historical Foundation has announced plans to donate its entire film archive to SFO Museum for preservation. This corporate film library, amassed by Pan American World Airways from its founding in 1927 through its dissolution in 1991, contains over 700 titles and hundreds of hours of footage spanning a period of more than 60 years.

New exhibition at SFO’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 features the innovative textile art of Kay Sekimachi Kay Sekimachi (b. 1926) is a pioneering fiber artist whose complex work reflects an elegant impression of simplicity. For more than seven decades, she has mastered a wide range of media and techniques, including on- and off-loom textiles, stitched-paper forms, and molded-fiber bowls. Loom weaving captivated Sekimachi after a chance introduction in college sent her on a remarkable lifelong journey.
